Designed Tutor-Mentoring Partnership Initiative, Assuring All Student's Learning to Comprehension Level of Reading: Essential to Quality of Life in the 21" Century
Abstract
Students must be able to read if they are to sustain a quality of life, maintain democracy, as we know it today, and achieve the goals of the 21" century. The process of reading affects all learning and activity in this century. In the course of learning to read, some students suffer different levels of tension and disorientation Without onetoone intervention, there are those who do not reach the standard of competency enabling achievements inherent within their capacities. Providing one-to-one learning intervention can aid immeasurably in expanding students skill knowledge and confidence in reading. The "must" for a designed and orchestrated partnership between schools and communities addressing the critical reading circumstance inherent to student populations can no longer be ignored.
