Partnership between Samfundets skole and Falconbridge Nikkelverk, Kristiansand, Norway.
As a part of the subject “Science and the environment” a priority area for the school has been the Kristiansand basin through participation in the Coastwatch program. Falconbridge Nikkelverk has used the basin as a deposit for several years.
The last three years the teaching of chemistry in 9th grade has been related to chemical compounds and processes which are used at the plant.
The cooperation with the company is now being expanded to also include information about the education required for different occupations in all the sections of the company.
